35th annual Walk & 5K to End HIV
On Wednesday, September 15, I’m participating in the 35th annual Walk & 5K to End HIV benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health. (The official walk will take place October 23, but our team will be kicking off our first week back in the office with an early fundraising effort.)
I hope that you will support me and Knowland in raising funds to support this important cause. HIV remains an epidemic in D.C. and Whitman-Walker Health focuses on services and education designed to prevent transmission of the virus and provide care to those who are infected.
The Walk & 5K to End HIV is a vital part of ensuring we have the resources to continue our support of at-risk and HIV-positive populations. That’s why I’m raising funds through this year’s Walk & 5K. Your donation will go toward lifesaving services that Whitman-Walker Health provides for thousands of men and women living with HIV and AIDS—regardless of their ability to pay. And you will help fund critical prevention outreach and treatment programs that help prevent the spread of HIV.
