Join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the 40th Annual Walk & 5K to End HIV at Anacostia Park!
Registration is now open!
Held for the past 40 years, the Walk is more than just another fundraisier for us here at Whitman-Walker, it is a continued symbol of our unwavering commitment to finding a cure for HIV and an end to the stigma surrounding HIV. While we have achieved many great strides since we first laced up our shoes back in 1986, we know that much work remains to be done, but we can see the finish line approaching in the distance.
40 years later, people and communities are still affected by HIV, and so we keep walking, running, and fundraising -- and we encourage the entire community to join us. Your donations go directly towards lifesaving research services for those most in need in our community, many of whom live with or at risk of HIV, regardless of their ability to pay. And you help fund critical prevention outreach, treatment programs and research studies that can help to finally put an end to HIV in DC once and for all!
We hope you will join us for the Walk & 5K to End HIV on September 19 as we honor those we have lost, fight for those currently with us, and celebrate those who will join us in a future free from HIV.
