I live with HIV. I'm lucky. I have insurance.
This is me at the top with my lovely husband Dave.
On Saturday, October 22, I’m participating in the annual Walk & 5K to End HIV benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health. I hope that you will support me in my goal of raising $500 for this important cause.
I am HIV+ and take a horse pill every morning to stay healthy. Not everyone in my area has the insurance to do that and Whitman Walker has long filled that void in the DC area. Whitman Walker also has staff actively looking for a vaccine and/or cure.
My HIV caused the neuropathy that limits my mobility and makes me have to be a virtual participant. But I still ask for donations every year with the hope it might help someone else get treatment before they get related symptoms, like me. I hope I can count on your support.
