Will you Walk with us?
This year feels different somehow.
Our 36th Walk to End HIV is October 22nd and will be in Congress Heights, walking the grounds of what will be the site of our new Max Robinson Center. But - the change in location isn't what makes it feel different.
Whitman-Walker is on the cusp of a truly transformative increase in care and services when we open our new site in 2023. We will add new community members into our network through care and through jobs. We will connect to new and old partners in our collective efforts to deliver integrated healthcare access for residents who have been historically under-invested in.
What feels different is the stakes. The stakes in our Walk this year are all directly tied to our ability to "stick the landing" when we open in 2023. The stakes are about building new paths of access to care, research and services, that we have been dreaming about for over a decade. In order to "stick the landing" - we will need your help.
First - please consider walking with us. Would be so good to have you and to share the vision for our future.
Next - please consider donating to anyone fundraising for the Walk to End HIV (like me!)
We can't wait to welcome you to our new health care home - help us get there.
Naseema (she/her)
CEO, Whitman-Walker Health
