i’m participating in the 38th annual Walk to End HIV benefiting Whitman-Walker.
I've been connected to Whitman-Walker Health since 2008 when i served as an AmeriCorps member. I stayed in touch and volunteered after grad school, returning as a staff member in 2013. i dream of the day when healthcare is consistently high quality, affirming, and honoring individual agency and autonomy… and i work towards that goal every single day.
Whitman-Walker Health is the largest provider of HIV care in DC, and serves over 2,500 transgender and gender expansive patients annually. Now, more than ever, places like WWH - who have been providing gender affirming care for 20yrs and LGB care for 50 years- need the loud and clear support of people like you.
