38th Annual Walk & 5K to End HIV - Washington, D.C.
Hi there. I wanted to let you know I’m participating in the 38th annual Walk & 5K to End HIV benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health, in Washington, DC! And it is right around the corner, time-wise I mean, on Saturday, December 7.
We continue to see new cases of HIV/AIDS in the Washington-metro area. But, thankfully, fewer than in years past. The purpose of the Walk to End HIV continues to be relevant. Raising funds is critical to growing prevention education/programs, expanding testing, enable additional outreach, heightening awareness of and access to medical treatment options, as well as behavioral health treatment options. All these things can aid in efforts to reduce levels of new cases and get people who test positive for HIV on treatment as soon as possible.
I need YOUR help, so I can help Whitman-Walker Health do what they do for those affected by HIV/AIDS and in need of testing, treatment, and support.
I am asking you to please chip in if you are able. Even a small amount is helping us to make a big difference: $10, $15, or what your means allow. We need you! If you are tapped out on financial contributions to charitable causes this year or you are supporting someone else in this Walk or another Walk elsewhere, I understand.
But if you can, please support me in my goal of raising much-needed funds for this important cause.
Thank you.
