39th annual Walk to End HIV
On Saturday, September 20, I?m participating in the 39th annual Run/Walk to End HIV benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health. As a proud gay male living in DC, I am honored to be running in the 5K given this important issue, and it happens to be my first time participating in a charitable running event! I hope that you will support me in my goal of raising funds for this important cause. HIV remains an epidemic in D.C. and Whitman-Walker Health focuses on services and education designed to prevent transmission of the virus and provide care to those who are infected.
The Walk to End HIV is a vital part of ensuring we have the resources to continue our support of at-risk and HIV-positive populations. That?s why I?m raising funds through this year?s Walk. Your donation (any amount counts!) will go toward lifesaving services that Whitman-Walker Health provides for thousands of people in our area living with HIV and AIDS?regardless of their ability to pay. And you will help fund critical prevention outreach and treatment programs that can help end HIV in D.C..
Thank you for your support of this effort and in me!
Cheers,
Willi
